Which FF had your Favorite Music?
Tough question. But I'm gonna go with FFIX's because most of my favorite pieces are there, and most of these pieces are uniquely-made and stick to your mind.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
I have to say FFVII because you have a fair share of knowledge regarding the main characters' backgrounds and there isn't a cardboard like character who, if removed from the game, wouldn't taint its story. All of them contributed a lot to the story.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
FFVIII -- Rinoa Heartilly. The female character who has captured my heart the most. I instantly admired her the first time I saw her and was the reason I decided to play the FF series. I like her personality and her totality, especially her knack of bringing out the best in others.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
I would say FFX because of the ability to control your aeons and the in-game character switching.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
Obviously FFVII -- Sephiroth. Definitely the best villain in the series. He's a superb swordsman, cool-looking, and is a perfect embodiment of evil, emotional instability and pure madness. A perfect combo.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
FFVIII. It may mostly revolve on Squall and Rinoa's love story but it was executed in a very nice, memorable way. And it's nice how two totally different individuals meet and change each other's lives. The same pattern could also be seen on most ff series, but as for me, it was best executed in FFVIII.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
Also FFVIII. A perfect definition of a perfect, happy ending. The length of the FMV is also a plus factor, as well as the three most special scenes in my opinion - squall and seifer's genuine, 'from the heart' smile, and rinoa and squall's kiss. Among the others, I find it the most satisfying.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?

I'd have to say FF9. I loved most of the songs and they just seemed to fit the mood perfectly. My favourites being Melodies of life, the battle music and the one where Zidanes freinds join him again near the end. I forgot the name

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?

I'm gonna go with 9 again, they had the most memorable characters and you really felt for them at the end. My favourites would be Zidane, Amarant and Steiner.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?

It'll have to be 9 again, my favourite being Zidane. He was happy go lucky unlike Cloud and Squall and he never held back the fact that he liked Garnet which was funny
He also gradually became more serous towards the end and was turning out to be more of the hero type character.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?

Not many peple liked it, but I thought 8's was the best. You had to be a little more strategic then the past systems.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?

Kuja was my favourite. He was very poetic which made him seem sinister. But at the end you felt sorry for him and you can understand at the end why he went crazy knowing he was gonna die.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?

10 I beleive had the best storyline. It was very religious and when they all started breaking the rules it got exciting
Plus the whole Tidus is a dream thing was very cool.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?

10, because it was very emotional and left you feeling really sad at the end of it. Knowing that Tidus had sacrificed his own life just for the whole world. He sacrificed everything and you just had to respect him after that.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
To me, it has always been FFIV It was one of my first FF's that I got, so I remember the music in it. A huge step in the musics from Squaresoft. The one that I remember the most is The Final Battle and Mystic Mysidia. They both had good sound and especially in Final Battle it was fantastic.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
It was FF1. The choice from 6 classes, was very good idea. SPOILER*And not to tell the class change END OF SPOILER* You can make even groups were are only fighters.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
Well.... Red Mage!! from FF1 was my favorite character. The good thing about him is, that he can use white AND black magic. And he can have high attack too. Prodably the best character released from Squaresoft.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
FFX It helps beginners that you can switch characters during a battle. In some Final Fantasies you can't switch them during a battle, so you can see it in his/her stats. And it helps you in boss battles too. If you're nearly dead, just switch.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
It would be FFVI with Kefka. Of course, Kefka dominates because of his evil laugh . Nah, it's because he's really weird and crazy man who looks like a clown. But not in the last battle. In it he looks kewl. Just look at him. He's unbelievable.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
There it prodably all goes to FFIV. SPOILER* It has this Darth Vader and Luke kind of thing, when Cecil hears that Golbez is his brother. END OF SPOILER* But even the love thing with Cecil and Rosa is something new from Squaresoft(or was something like that in FF3?).

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
SPOILER* We all love happy endings, and FFIV has something to offer. The wedding of Kain and Rosa, Edge and Rydia falling in love, is just so.....well you know what I mean . Another good idea from Squaresoft. **** I love it END OF SPOILER * (And text )

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
I really enjoyed the music from Final Fantasy VIII. Eyes on Me is such a beautiful song. The battle music was catchy and never got on my nerves. There were some really nice melodies on this game. Final Fantasy X also had some beautiful music but Final Fantasy VIII takes my vote.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
I loved the Final Fantasy X cast of characters. They were all unique and had interesting personalities. Everyone says how much they don't like Tidus but I actually liked his character. All the characters in X were pretty cool.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
Final Fantasy X had my favourite character. Yuna, she was an optimistic young woman who didn't let anything stand in her way. She was brave even though she knew she was going to die. She made sure she always had a smile on her face. She is an inspirational character in my opinion.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
Once again I'm going to say X. It was cool because you could change your characters during battle and that was quite handy, especially during boss battles. The sphere grid was different and I actually liked the way it worked. I thought it was easy to use unlike the Final Fantasy VIII junctioning that took me ages to learn properly.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
Well, it definitely wasn't Seymour from Final Fantasy X. I found him very annoying. I have no idea how many times I had to fight him during X but all I know was it was too many. My favourite is probably Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. He was quite an interesting villain, always laughing at something. He was quite a crazy man but I still thought he was pretty awesome.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
Final Fantasy VIII had my favourite storyline. This was the first Final Fantasy I ever got into and I was obsessed with it from start to finish. It was a love story and I'm one of those people who adore love stories lol. It was a nice way how Squall and Rinoa met and how he risked his life to save her.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
Definitely Final Fantasy X. It had the most beautiful ending in my opinion. It was very sad and I enjoyed watching it. I prefer sad endings to happy endings... yes I know, I'm weird. I did feel very sorry for Yuna though, losing her true love like that.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?

Firstly the music, FFIX has a great soundtrack in the overal sense as it was produced specifically for the game, the whole atmosphere of the story suits the music, it goes togethers pretty much flawlessly. I would also like to point out that the OST from the very 1st FF is done quite well, there is not too much to it but the whole game isnt that long from what I can see, I really enjoyed the forgotten temple music, I love that sound and the Matoyas cave peice, (the black mages did a great cover of this. I Also enjoyed the boss music to FFVII.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?

Im not to worried as most of them had their good points and their bad points. Overall I guess it would be VIII storywise as none of the characters agitated me as Steiner, Barret and Tidus bothered me, Irvine was a bit of a show off but he did it well. I havent played it in a long time so its kind of hard to remember but from what I can 8 had the most enjoyable characters imo

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?

As above I will have to say Squall, he seemed more of a real person with his own personallity compared to Cloud, Zidane reminds me of my little brother and Tidus was a crybaby. In some ways I am like Squall so yeah I guess I kind of understand where he was coming from in the story, Except I would of went for Quistis not Rinoa

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?

This is a hard 1 as 5 had a really great system but I never got used to its full potential, more mixing, prehaps combos and special abilities would be nice. Overall I guess I would go with X, as there was heaps to do, catching monsters, completeing the sphere grid, beating all the extra monsters, the dark aeons and such, it really felt worth all that time doing it.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?

I was never to focused on this part as I just saw them as an obstical in the game, the originals had a somewhat basic, not really indepth storyline, Sephroth was done quite well but there wasnt much friction like a thin line between love and hate if you know what I mean. I guess I would have to say my favourite would be Seifer, the way he carried himself and approached Squall, a true rival.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?

I would have to say II as even though it was fairly simply, it was still done quite well, possibly the best thing about it was the story. IX was never really drawn from the original stories, it was pretty much a new story for a new game made to fit an old medi evil adventure.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?

Also I would have to say II, the reason? Cause you can keep playing! Ok well I never did as, as far as I know there is nothing else you can do. But seriously the ending to VIII was possibly my favourite, I still didnt understand it but it kind of pulls things together. I had an arguement with my friend wether Squall died or not and we still are unsure but oh well, prehaps somebody could elaborate on my opinions

Which FF had your Favorite Music?

A: I would have to say FFX because of it's touching soundtrack. From sorrow to joy, it brought me a memorable time playing the game for the first time. I especially liked "To Zanarkand".

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?

A: FFIV had extremely awesome characters. Kain, Cecil, Golbez, Rydia, Cid and Rosa really made up the party, and i mean that in two ways.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?

A: As obvious at is might be, Kain Highwind From FFIV was the mvp of the game. With his emotional contribution to the story, he possessed an exciting skill new to all of the gamers.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?

A: This is sort of an invalid question since a good 3/4 of the games contain the ATB battle system which in my opinion is more challenging than turn by turn.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?

A: Definitely Sephiroth from FFVII, since he created an anticipated fight definitely worth experiencing.(Although quite easy) Sephiroth left many FF fans in sorrow after brutally thrusting his sword through Aeris' body. As a result leading to an anxious vengeance.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?

A: With such a complex and weird storyline, FF8 stole the win for this department. The game had many moments and trully left me in awe upon first play.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?

A: I think that a wedding after ridding the earth of potential evil is the best ending. Hence making FFIV my choice for this category...

Music-I'd have to say that the music for me would be a tie between 7 and 8. 7's music was very ominous, and gave you a very dark and corrupted feel, which I thought was an excellent job. 8 had an open and expansive sound, like there was a whole world for you to discover, and it was filled with so many differant things.

Characters-It would have to go to 6. it had many people, similar and alike. I liked some and disliked others. The characters were differant enough for me to have to pick 6 in the end.

Character-Even though he's from 8 I'd pick Squall. There was a nice steady progression of him becoming more aware of his true emotions, and that's what made me like him as my favorite charcter.

Overall-8 was the best. I just liked how long the game took and how you felt satisfied with what happened and how everyone ended up.

Battle System-8 (duh) I really thought the junctioning system was a good way to make your charcters uber strong if you knew how to do it. the first time through I was slow at it, but on my second run I really got a handle on it, and had a perfect team. I thought it was a very good way to strategize your team, and that one was the best.

Villian-7, Sephiroth was evil. And I don't just mean evil, I mean insane and out for anyone who dared to cross him. He was a perfect SOLDIER and could kill with ease.

Storyline-8 it's warlike scenario was intense and needless to say I thought it was great. It just felt differant than the others, like you were serving a purpose and that you were fighting fo more than a few people. it was like you were an elite team that was not to be reckoned with. It's mix of war, love, action, and fantasy made it the best story they've come up with so far.

Ending-And last but not least...8. It had such a sweet and beautiful anding with Rinoa and Squall kissing, while a smile was actually on his face. I think no other ending compares and I would pick 8 over the others any day.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
It's easily noticable that each soundtrack has its own sound, so the choice for me is really decided by which sound I liked the most. I've always loved the sound of FF6, however, for me, FF8 probably had the best. Every track is layered so nicely, and the songs really create a wonderful atmosphere.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
Interesting question. On a whole, I'd have to say FF6. There were plenty of characters to choose from, and pretty much all of them had wonderful and rich storylines. Despite there being a lot of characters, each one was unique, and this is quite the task to fulfill for a cast of 14. It was also a game where the female's role become really important.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
FF6, Cyan Garamonde. I've always loved Cyan, mainly because he's tough bastard with the "dark swords" of the previous games. I also enjoyed how he used what I suppose you could call "Renaissance English", by saying stuff like "thou" all the time. His story is certainly compelling, having to deal with the loss of his family. Overall, a very well-rounded character.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
Well, battle systems have been pretty much the same, but I liked what was done with FF9. Ability points + learning abilities from equipment. These abilities certainly helped throughout the game, not to meniton the whole trance deal. Most characters had pretty kickass abilities whilst in trance, especially Vivi.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
As far as I'm concerned, Kefka is probably the best villain in the series. Perhaps I say that because I'm somewhat biased, but I just don't think that the rest can stand up to him. He's pure insane, and his progression to insanity is well documented. Using Terra to kill his own soldiers? Poisoning an entire castle? Not to mention bringing the world to ruin and destroying an entire town.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
Once again, FF6 wins the award for this one. It really applies to real life, too. Give people power, and they feel as though they can do whatever they please until it turns around and bites them in the ass. In the case of FF6, that's magic.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
To be honest, I never really liked the endings to any of the games. A lot of them are just full of crap. I suppose I'd say FFIV, because that's about the only truly satisfying one, to me, anyway.

i would have to go with final fantasy 7 on this one... the pure emotion is captured in aries' theme, and never fails to make me emotional everytime i hear it. one winged angel also made ff7 memorable.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?

final fantasy 7 had very interesting characters, but i would go for final fantasy VI on this one. All the characters are different, and for some reason, they just didn't like that crazy dude ruling and destroying their world.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?

overall, i think aries is my favorite character... why? because she is like the obi-wan of the world of final fantasy 7. She new she needed to save the planet. She knew she can only do this if she was one with the lifestream. She told clout that she will andle it, giving her a strong personality. And though she's kind of a flirt, it was perfectly normal because even though she's cetra, shes still human (huh?? didn't make sense). When she willingly let sephiroth kill her, she kinda told him "if you killl me no, i will be more powerful than you can ever imagine" - obi wan's last words to darth vader in the death star

and guess what? she did become powerful, more powerful than the the meteor. even in advent children, she was the answer to the geostigma disease. so yeah, she's my favorite.

plus she made me cry when she ddied for the sake of the planet. sob..

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?

i liked final fantasy VII's materia system because it is fully customizable.. you want a summoner? put all the summon materia on one person. What happens? The character becomes weak and easy to kill, due to the low hp, but at te same time, the character would have high mp, enabling the character to be A "summoner". Want a red mage? add healing AND magic materia. Want a knight? put hp up materia and cover and defense up materia and all types of materia to buff the characters hp and defense. Want a pure attacker? just put the right materias and BOOM, you have you slicing and dicing character. the options became limitless, really..

runner up: ff3's esper system, kinda like what i stated above, but still different...also there isn't a summoner coz you can only have one esper at a time...

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?

    sephiroth... hands down...
    masamune
    badass costume
    badass attitude
    badass moves

    'nuff said

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?

FFVII had very interesting points, especially the part where you know cloud's past, which really came out of nowhere, but there were some parts that needed some polishing and better scriptwriting. so my vote on this is FFVI, where the world was actually destroyed, which never happens in ANY ff game, and having to find the party members made it feel good to get back at that crazy kefka dude.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?

my favorite ending? i'd have to go with FFIX... it was sweet and romantic... *sigh*

FF X had the best music for me because the theme tune is the best and the tune when you first come to Luca(the various versions of these two songs rock).

FF X had the best characters overall because each character had an intresting history and how they interacted was great.

FF VIII had my Favourite character Raijin. He is my fave because he was a great fighter and a loyal friend.

My Favourite battle system was FF IX because you have the perfect amount of characters in a party, you had to equip support techs(that way you are not invincible) and ech character is one in a million.

FF X has my fave villain it is Seymour. He is the best IMO because he does the villainy on the inside as a maester.

The best FF storyline was X because it isn't like your usual FF, at first your trying to defeat a monster that is revived every 10 years but Seymour is exploiting Sin and is trying to use it to kill the whole of Spira and make them undead.

Thebest ending was X it really touched e and the song at the end was beautiful

So Overall I like X the most.

Well, i've only played 3 FF's and haven't fineshed FF8 do to the fact that my "friend" Scratched it up like a mofo. But here i go.

Music: FF7, hell i'm listening to One Winged Angel as i type. But then again, Liberi Fatali or whatever was exelent to, so i don't know. And yet, FFX's Sad Victory, Suka de What ever the Hell it is, and the Hymn of the faith....... God Damn Usmastu's good..FF8. The Loser just gets me.

Over all, FF8 goes to that one. They all seemed like regular peole you can relate to, you know?

Fav Character: Squall. He's the lone wolf that has buried feelings. That just gets me.

Fav battle system: hmmm.. That's FFX. you're not rush, which leaves room for strategy over reaction. And the Sphere Grid rocks.

Fav villain would be Setphroth. Super Nova kicks ass.

Fav storyline would be FFX. Tidus isn't the leader, there's nothing really special about you're party, execpt for Tidus. And I just love that Under water scene with Suka whatever the hell playin' in the background.

The best Ending had to be FFX. It made me.. cry *sob*. Just... a little...

Life and death are strange things. When you look at your hands, do you think of the lives you give or take with them? Do you feel as if many lives rest upon your shoulders? Or do they end with your hand? Are you a saint? Are you a heathen? Of course not. Existence cannot be defined by such generalizations. We all live in a complex web of life, and affect it in our own ways. When we throw our stone into the water, how big will the ripples be?

What is truly more powerful and destructive; action, or idleness? Words, or silence?

SPOILERS FOR FF6 & FF7 BELOW (Do not read, if you haven't played and beaten these games yet):

Which FF had your Favorite Music? FF6. I love the final battle song, "Dancing Mad", and there are several others that are great such as "Shadow", "Opening Theme", and of course the whole Opera segment. Simply stunning music.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall? As much as I love FF6, I think I liked the characters better in FF7. I seemed to feel for them more, and liked their development very much. Maybe it's the difference between 16-bit and 32-bit graphics that made it easier to see the characters as "real" people. But then again, maybe they just did a very good job of making them seem real story-wise.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it? Kefka from FF6. He does and says things that we (I) wish we could do in real life. He thinks about nothing but himself, and is absolutely nuts. That's just awesome, and makes him the best villain (in my opinion) that you love-to-hate.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System? FF7, because I love the 3D backgrounds and characters when you're in battle. I also love that if you change weapons, your character visibly is shown wielding that new weapon. Not to mention the Limit Breaks, which are awesome. Also, the summons were awe-inspiring to watch.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it? Both my favorite character, and my favorite villain is ... yup, you guessed it: Kefka from FF6. Like I said earlier, he is totally insane, completely evil, and really is one of the few villains that doesn't inspire ANY sympathy for him whatsoever, unlike Sephiroth. He is the only villain that I really couldn't wait to kill in the end of the game. He made me HATE him, but also I grew to love him as well, because of his witty remarks, and dispicable evilness. The only villain that made me have a Love/Hate relationship with him, lol.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline? FF6. I love the Espers, and the explanation for the existence of Magic. I also love the fact that every character seems like the main character of the game, at different points. I also love that the world is actually almost completely destroyed in the middle of the game. It's rare for an RPG to have a Post-Apocalyptic setting, let alone SHOW the end of the world happening.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending? For this one, I've gotta go once again with FF6. I love that it shows what happens with most of the characters. I also love that most of the characters have learned a lesson from their adventures, and have changed their ways to make their lives better. The only thing that bothers me is that Shadow's fate is somewhat of a mystery. I'm not sure if he died, or if he survived...

FF7 was a great game, but it left WAY too many unanswered questions in the end.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
I'd Say FFVIII had my favorite music.it was te part when blamb garden was under attack(rock sorta music with a mix of a little techno) it got u into the game.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
FFX,and that would be Tidus. His Way of acting was cool, the expression he made from time to time, and of course when he tried to smile i was like OMFG he can't smile .

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
FFX again, but this time it's Auron. Why? Because he ressembles me in a lot of ways...

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
FFVII,the fact that u could use a *item* that could make ur limit break go faster in risin was pretty cool and could really help ya get out of a tight spot.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
    FFVII,Sephiroth.That's easy though,he's dark,twisted,evil,psychotic,what more do u need?

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
For Some strange reason i'm going with FFIX on this one...don,t ask me why though.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
I found them all cool except for FFX,seing tidus go away was soooo boring

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
I'm leaning over FFX-2's BGMs. Well, 1000words' great, even the piano version of it. Aside from that, the Zanarkand Ruins' BGM was awesome, so is Vegnagun's theme. Dark, eerie, and it kicks.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
It would be FF6. The character's background storyline is really amazing. From Terra to Kefka, everything was made clear. It really shows what's the character's motives, why he/she joined plus everything they've contributed to the group. If it was remaked, then its going to be a seller once again.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
It may sound funny, but it would be Albert Steiner. Aside from being a tinman-look-alike, he's really devoted to Garnet, and even left Brahne's side in order to protect the princess. His BGM protecting my devotion suits him well, for his affection for Beatrix. And he's funny too, aside from that serious face of his.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
FFX's battle system. The switch party members in-battle really helps during tough and crucial times for certain chracters. FF8's was great too, yet the junction system tends to be powerful.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
FF6's Kefka. I know he looks like a clown, but talk about being sadistic. He wants to rule the world, even though he has to destroy most of it just to gain power. And that twisted, annoying laugh of his is really. . . Well, gets on the nerves, but its cool. Kwe~kwe~kwe

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
FFTactics. The political struggle of the Holy ordeal plus the church meddling for acquiring the power of St.Ajora's awesome. It clearly shows betrayal of trust, and how power tends to corrupt everyone in higher grounds. Everything was made clear and how you'll ask a party member to join affects the story. Every turn counts.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
FFX-2's. Well, Yuna's search for Tidus took her 3 years after the Calm and despite everything that happened, it turns out great.

1: My favorite music overall is FF8. It features some really fitting tunes such as the soothing melody playing in balamb garden and the different, yet somehow similar battle themes for Squall and Laguna. Overall the music in this game just seems to fit. Conversly, though my favorite single tune from any FF would have to be The Skies Above from FF10 (the piano theme at the start). This is just such a beautifully composed and elegantly simple piece that it wins my vote.

2: Favorite cast? Tough one this, whilst many of the FF's feature some quite forgettable characters (Quina... who he/she? ) for me there are two games whos cast really stand out; FF8 and FF10. FF10 features a very well balanced cast with a true variety of characters, but it's FF8 that wins it for me if only because of the relationship between Squall and Rinoa. Uneasy at first their freindship grows steadily and eventually become something more. It's well thought out and scripted and sometimes agonising to watch (Squall you fool! Kiss the girl already!). So, yeah, FF8 wins this one for me.

3: For my favorite single character though, I will have to go for Wakka. It was tough not to say Rinoa as, if she were real, she would be exactly the kind of girl I would be attrected to. However Wakka wins it by a small margin because as a character he is amusing yet thoughtful, a bit dim yet somehow wise and never dull. He has been very well voiced, animated and realised overall. So 1st prize, Wakka!

4:My favorite battle system always used to FF8. It was the first FF I played and I liked the fact that all the characters could be equally good at every aspect of battle; magic, summoning, straight attacks, etc etc. I actually came a bit unstuck when I played FF7 (my second FF game) because the battle system was so different! I soon learned that FF8 was the one with the unusual system, though and got used to expending MP to cast spells, rather than just stocking a finite number of each spell. In the end I learned to appreciate the tactical side of having one white mage, one black mage, one summoner etc. So after many years and many more FF's (I've played most of them now), my favorite battle system is FF10's. This is, in part, down to the "one man for each job" ethic which is employed so well here, but also because of the ability to switch players mid battle and the fact that it is turn based, not time based, which allows you to really plan ahead.
    FF10 all the way then.

5: Favorite villain? Seymour. No question. This guy just epitomises evil intent right from the get go. From your first sighting of him you just know he's up to no good and his whiny self effacing voice just reinforces that. He also offers up some fairly challenging battles as the game progresses.

6: Favorite story: This is tough! They are all good, as they should be, the storyline is the heart of any good RPG. I think FF8 just pips FF10 to the post for this one though. The story in FF10 is excellent, very well thought out, original and unusual, with a few surprises on the way. But FF8's storyline is just magnificent. It is so complex with so many different facets to the characters and how they relate to each other that you really have to play the game over and over again to grasp every aspect of the story. That and the fact that the story loops in on itself with the events at the end being the reason for the start of the game (if you've finished it you'll know what I mean) and the heart of the story being a proper "good versus evil" plot... It's just brilliant!

7: Favorite ending: Well I hate it when any FF comes to an end. I'm always left with the feeling "what am I gonna do now?!" but if I have to choose (and I must!) it would be... FF10-2 extra ending (the one you get for 100% completion and whistling at the right time etc etc) No spoilers, but it's the ending you want. You know what I mean?

Which FF had your Favorite Music? FFX had the best music ever. Suteki da ne was beautiful and so was many other tunes. It had a serious undertone and a deeper and more underlying meaning.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall? I'd say FFVII, because the characterization of all of them was well constructed. You felt like you were a part of the gang.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it? Aeris, from FFVII. She is attractive, mysterious, and she is rather royal to her friends. She's the problem solver of the gang.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System? FFX-2 or just FFX. I adored the dress-spheres! I know I'm totally girly, but the transitions were just sooooo pretty! Also, I like how the camera adjusts a little. They stay in place less. Makes things interesting!

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it? FFIX had my favorite villan: Kuja. He's a hot little bastard.. and he's slick~ I'm not the typical Sephy fangirl. I <3 Kuja!

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline? FFVII and FFX were both really, really interesting and well-constructed. Both had badass villans (excluding Seymour.. he's major fag) and a deep storyline. Love them both!

Which FF had your Favorite Ending? FFX. I almost cried, because at the end of the game.. I felt for Tidus and Yuna.. opposite of what I felt when I started playing the game. Very heartbreaking.. and made you think.

    Well my Favorite

My favorite Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy Tactics it was just so different from what I was use to. The fact that you can move around and create (well) tactics was some thing that kept me occupied for many play throughs. I also loved how the characters were so different and how the jobs changed a characters whole setup. Just all around it was a great thought out game.

My favorite music of course is final fantasy Vlls because for one it has the "One-Winged Angel" in it. I thought it was a more invalied track probably because they had a CD form to play with in Vll. I just thought that it had a wide varitey of music that time around.

Again Final Fantasy had a wide varitey of characters and all with their own personality (Barret). I liked how the characters weren't all human in Vll or white(i'm white). And each had their own custume weapons and limit breaks.

My favorite Character is Kimarhi he is a Lancer and I would use a lance over anything. As well as he looks the "coolest" to me because he's not perfect "his broken horn" and he does what is right in his mind. That makes him one of the best characters in the history of the game.

I like Final Fantasy lXs battle system, for one it was the first 3D final fantasy with 4 on screen characters. Ithought that the (once again) had their own style of fighting and that the battles where more challenging than before. And the random quiz battles i thought were cool. he

My favorite Villinan would be Choas from final fantasy 1 just because you beat him in the beginning and not even know it. I thought that was genius and I would of never figured that out if I hadn't beat it.

Final Fantasy X that was a great story with information that didn't make to much since the second part of the game. I liked the whole story behind the game. It was a unsual one and that's what made it great. I've beatin it understanding more and more each time noticing little things i didn't before.

The best Ending was In Final Fantasy lX when you finally get to fight Kuja and Zidane and Garnet get together that just made the game. It was a great and happy ending which no one important dies or desappears. That;s why i liked it.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
That is a tossup between FFIV and FFVI for me. Something inside me still always gets excited when I hear the Red Wings theme at the beginning of FFIV. Overall though, I think FFVI has my favorite soundtrack.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
I have to say FFVI because there were so many characters. I always had a hard time choosing just four because I liked so many of them. Also, every time I play the game again it seems that I begin to like a character that I did not use much before.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
Wow this is tough. Let me think a while... Ok, I'm going to say Shadow from FFVI, cause well, HE'S A NINJA! Also the human side of him comes out later, and he was awesome in battle.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
If I can count Tactics, then I say that one. I loved the job system and branching out to other jobs. I would like to see a regular FF game use the job system but only allow certain jobs to branch into others, similar to how FFT and FFTA are done. Also, the ATB system in IV and VI was the best way to do battle in a regular FF game.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
My favorite villain will always be Rubicante, the fire fiend from FFIV. I loved how he was honorable despite being a fiend, and he would heal your party because he was so confident that he could whip you. And he WOULD whip you unless you spent some time leveling before fighting him. Also, his cloak of flame was a cool idea.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
FFIV has my favorite story and most likely always will. It was the first FF I played, and it really drew me into RPG games in general. I'll never forget the shock of finding out that two certain people were brothers. (Trying to avoid spoilers)

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
As much as I didn't like FFVIII that much, I really did like the ending. However, I'm going to say FFIV as my very favorite still. There was much closure as well as a few things left to the imagination. (What happened to Rydia and Edge? Did Palom have a thing for dwarf girls? Did Eblan do okay under Edge's rule? How did the other kingdoms fare? FFIV-2 anyone?

To the start I tell that I have play only FF I & II DoS, FF VI, FF VII and FF VIII so my opinions comes from those game...

Which FF had your Favorite Music?

I don't listen much Final Fantasy music but that one that I like is FF VI's 'Boss Battle theme'. I heard it first time from another forum and started like it. I really don't know why but it just was good.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?

I can't deside between FF I and FF VI. VI was my first FF so I really like them but FF I's class system is very useful and you can make 'special' teams like 'all Red Mages'. But FF VI has many characters that had own skills that was also useful. I choose both. FF I and VI.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?

I really don't have favorite character. I can't name one character that would be my favorite because I try make all characters to same level. But class I can name. It's master class. I prefer fighting without weapons.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?

FF VII. I liked materia system (if you can say it to battle system) even I'm not fan of FF VII. But when thinking more doesn't every FF have same system. Like 'I hit you, you hit me' or 'I hit you, I hit you and then you hit me'. I really haven't get ATB because I think that it doesn't really work.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?

Of course Kefka from FF VI. Who wouldn't like him. That laught and his things gets you to lose your mind...Well of course there is one and only that beats Kefka and it's Chaos. He's the first boss in whole serie so everybody should respect him.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?

(Storyline = Plot ?) FF VI. Once again newer FF's have boring storyline and because VI was first one that I played. Of course every character have own story so if you wanted to see everyone's own story you have to play it more than once to get all detail from characters.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?

Well, I have to admit that I have only play DoS and FF VII through so I have to choose from those. And my choice is *drums*...FF VII. Even it is 3D and I hate FF VII it has best ending. Of course it's ending leads to story of FF AC that is always plus.

Overall: My favorite is FF VI.
You want to buy this shirt and/or this shirt for me, don't you. They cost under 4000 Yens (~25 €). When you have bought both/either one of them (I'm 182 cm tall), contact me with PM and I will give you address where to send that packet. Thank you.

    ok here it is

my favorite final fantasy is VI. it had a well thought out story and it had a very thought out ending for everyone not some dumb fisticuff using idiot eating hotdogs. i have played ,flipped and over come that game on so many different levels.

music is very important to me being aq drummer and all so if i had to pick one, it would have to be VII i dont know how to spell it but the composer real picked the music to go with the theme of every characterand tried to capture its essence

if i have to choose one game for a list of characters VI again it had a long list of people that had special traits that was not duplicated not included gogo that was his trait and the fact that magic was in its own special catigory it was usable by everyone

my favorite character would be squall from VIII he had the best weapon design. and a calm ,cool ,collective status no one every doubted him and put all there strenth behind him and he didnt need to say nething and they followed him to the end of the planet and back he is by far the best character so far.

final fantasy VIII had the most interesting battle system for once eveything was backward you wanted to be low lvled i was lvl20 when i beat it but the summon lvls was very useful and needed to complete the game in full thats the only game in all time that used a strange lvlsystem that really added to tehe way you battled. not to mention the awesome boost summon ability.

my favorite villian from a final fantasy, um... sin from final fantasyX it was the only one with no control it was a perasite that needed to be exterimenated for the sake of spira and its inhabitants. i also liked that you had to always worried about the EVIL religious group out to destroy you due to its immoral believe system.

Final Fantasy VI had the best story line by far it was a great story and a great ending that actually included the future of all the characters no openings for a sequal it was finished no add ons no continuances it was by far the greatests story of all time. (it also made me cry dont tell my wife or freinds, but only the love story including locke and celes)

Again Final Fantasy VI had the best answer to all of thier stories it ended it left me with no answers i was actually hapy with a ending for the first and only time in the history of rpgs.
dont follow your dreams, they're just pictures in ur head

    Thumbs up

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
Final Fantasy was my favortite music-wise. The music inspired my creativity and imaganation to higher levels. Plus, it just felt like it was in tune with my soul, if you get what I mean.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
Again, Final Fantasy IX had my favorite characters. Not only did I think they developed a tremendous amount, they all had seperate personalities that I admired. Even the non-playable characters had personality.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
Once again, Final Fantasy IX-Vivi. Vivi is just most like me and I understand him a lot more than other characters. He is also the cutest, which is a big plus for me!

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
Final Fantasy X had the best battle system in my opinion. It was turn based, simple and that is the way I like it. I have time to think and I have a chance before people instantly kill me.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
I don't have a favorite villain. However, the one I dreded the most was Final Fantasy X's Seymour. He just makes me mad every time I see his ugly face. He just wouldn't give up and would never die. Bleh.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
Final Fantasy IX. The plot just interested me the whole way through. And even after beating it multiple times, I still get carried away by the plot. The plot just all fit together for me. Sure, there were some blotchy spots, but the rest made up for those.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
Final Fantasy IX. Even the ending interested me. I just liked the whole die and back thing. It was a little cheesy, but I still loved it.
It's been awhile, but I am back! Yay! Right?

which final fantasy had your favorate music?
its a close tie between ff6 and ffx, i loved the music of 6 because the minuet i got into the first fight i knew the music was pretty catchy, especialy the boss fight song and the final fight song with kefka. but my first choice would have to be ffx because i love how many of the songs are very touching and emotional(hey im gorl whatd you expect).

which final fantasy had your favorate characters overall?
definatly final fantasy 6, i liked how kefka was just the most eil villan ever who just wanted power. i liked terra cuz she was almost like a cloud story only better, instead of being created she was slaved and brainwashed.

wich ff had your favorate character/ which character is it?
well i think you all might know just who that is. in final fantasy 4 Rydia was my favorate character because i love evrything about her. She had a backround that fitted nicely into the game, being the last caller and all. she was also the most usefull character IMO as far as magic goes, and im not just talking about summons, she had great blk mgc spells too like quake, nuke, and meteo. i love the outfit she wears (which is why im wering it to otakon) and her green hair*so cute!* she was also probibly the most stong willed and high spirited character in the game that always had a smile(kinda like aeris).

which final fantasy had your favorate battle system?
i really like the first battle system and the very similar one to final fantasy X, but my vote goes to X because of the very wide range of customization to each character you can create. i also liked the fact that X was turn based rather than the ususall ATB.

which final fantasy had your favorate villain?
easy final fantasy 6 was the best as far as badguys go, kefka was just the most evil person that can possibly exist, unlike sephiroth who had a motive(he was created), kefka did what he did for no reason at all, he just wanted power and destroyed the world for it. you can much worse than that.

which final fantasy had your favorate storyline?
i really liked the story line to final fantasy X because i liked how there that whole love story subplot with tudus and yuna, its so sad and when i played i just got caught in it and had to finish it. to me i thought that this was probibly the most tragic and emotional of all the series and thats why i like it the most.

which final fantasy had your favorate ending?
again it is final fantasy X because it was just so emotional and touching. i cried at the end when yuna tried to hold tidus and couldnt because he was fading away. what can i say im a girl who loves the mushi stuff

Which FF had your Favorite Music? Final Fantasy VII aeriths theme was really beutiful and the battle theme was the best overall.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall? I like all the characters from FF Vi the best because there wern't all emotional and deep like All those emo in VII, VIII lol.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it? My Favorite characater was Zidane From FFIX because he was funny and kinda clumsy but he could still kick a$$

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System? My favorite BS was from FFX because it was easy to handle and not all confusing like FFIX and others

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it? My favorite villion is Kuja from FFIX even though he wore a thong he was down right evil. And he looked awesome when in trance.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline? I would have to say FFIX because you become connevted with the characters and the time-line dated back to origanal FF's.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending? My favorite ending was FFVIII because it was happy and funny and it didn't leave it open so you knew everything was all right.

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
FF8 does I just love the music from the waltz to the ragnarock music to laguna's battle music. The parade theme for the sorceress is also surprisingly catchy with its chantlike sounds. I love selective songs from each game but this one holds the most in my liking.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
FFIX because it seemed like each character had their own objectives but it still brought them all together. I liked Vivi's search for himself and how to confront the prospect of death. I also liked Dagger's gaining of "street smarts" and breaking out of her shell in the castle. Steiner and Beatrix was a cute side story and Amarant was just a cool "Vincent like" guy which is neat. Eiko and Dagger's mysterious past was fun too. Freya's love for Fratley although he gets amnesia is a sad story in itself. Overall each character grew on me the most.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
I like Cloud the best because he comes from such a pitiful past but amounts it and lets his love for the people that surround him keep him going. I found him more likeable than a Squall with hollow emotions and Zidane who was a "pimp gone sentimental" figure. Tidus was just too laughable and whiny of a character to take seriously.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System?
I've only played from 7 to X-2 so I don't know the traditional battle system better than FFIX's attempt to return to it but it is probably my favorite since each character has their own job and you have 4 characters in your party. FFX is in close second because of the ability to interchange characters during battle.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
FF7 because Sephiroth was such a sad story in himself. Imagine finding out that you're mother was nothing more than an experiment and you are just around for people to clone. You would want to f#*% the world over too. He just made more sense than a Kuja or Ultimecia.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
I want to start by saying from the ones I've played they were all OUTSTANDING but the best I would say is FFX. I like the whole pilgrimage idea and the final aeon and the death of the summoner. Just played into the whole love story between Tidus and Yuna so well. You can feel Tidus's anguish when he finds out the truth of Yuna's fate if she goes through with the pilgrimage and final summoning.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
FFX had the amazing graphics to blow your mind away so that helps but I also did like FF8's ending when Selphie is filming everyone laughing and having fun it was nice to see.

Which FF had your Favorite Music? FFVIII. That one had sucha great soundtrack, with wonderful pieces like Liberi Fatali and Eyes on Me. The music always fit whatever was going on and it really drew you in. I could feel the emotion in the songs. I should note I spent thirty bucks on a collectors edition soundtrack of FFVIII.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall? FFVIII. From Squall to Rinoa to Selphie to Zell, the characters were all great. I've heard some people saying that other than Squall and Rinoa they weren't properly developed. I disagree. They all were interesting characters in thier own way. They all had thier own quirks and little side stories.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it? FFIX. Zidane is the man. He is by far my favorite character. I mean come on, the guy was magnificent. Always groping Garnet, or chasing some other girl, he had a tail {don't ask why that's a plus, I don't even want to know}, and he was a thief which fits in with my RPG style. I love thiefs and ninjas. Good stuff. I particularly liked how when you found anything odd, you had options like, 'poke it', 'body slam it', that kind of thing was just funny.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System? FFIV. I'm not sure why, but the battle's flowed so nicely in that one. They had this great pace and could get rather exciting at times. I liked the way the character abilities were set up and it was just a well done battle system. The tempo was just so great.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it? Does Don Corneo count? Seriously, I think my favorite villain was Kefka. Your just sitting there playing the game, never paying any attention to Kefka, who you'd almost think was put there for comic relief, and then, before you even know what's going on he's the undisputed ruler of the world. The man played his cards very well. He just kinda sneaks up on you. And he was a nutjob too.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline? FFVIII. It simply has a wonderful story. I loved how even though it had this epic battle being fought over the fate of the world, this was secondary. The focus of the story was the love interest between Squall and Rinoa. I've rambled about this else where and'll leave it at that.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending? FFVIII. It certainly had my favorite ending. It perfectly summed up the story, tied everything up quite nicely and left you with a nice warm fuzzy feeling. I don't get those often enough.

So overall, FFVIII. But you know that already don't you?

Which FF had your Favorite Music?
Final Fantasy VII or X. The reason for FFVII is because every location you went, the music always fit in perfectly and the OST has general great songs, for example: One Winged Angel, it sounds so evil, dramatic and fits perfectly with Sephiroth.

Which FF had your Favorite Characters Overall?
Final Fantasy VII, each character was unique and had a great background story, Cait Sith bored me until I found out she was controlled by Tseng and the Shin-Ra, Cloud was perfect for the role of saving the world and defeating the evil villain, he is determined, and would do anything to help his closest friends although often, he seems very quiet, depressed and generally down but he has a heart of gold. Vincent also made FFVII incredible for me, he was extremely mysterious and has a very great background, it was a pleasure getting to know Vincent more as you carried on with the game, the other characters were incredible too.

Which FF had your Favorite Character, and who is it?
Final Fantasy VII. Sephiroth is my favourite character, I love his evil ways and his general personallity, he doesnt care for anyone who steps in his way and is extremely determined to get what he wants, he also has the best sword in FF history.

Which FF had your Favorite Battle System? Final Fantasy VII. It was the original FF battle system type and the Materia made it incredible, the way you could customize your commands via Materia was great.

Which FF had your Favorite Villain, and who is it?
Sephiroth. Look at my answer for Which FF had your Favourite Character, and who is it? question.

Which FF had your Favorite Storyline?
Final Fantasy VII. Simply incredible, it has to be the best story in FF history in my opinion, the story made FFVII what it is, the connection with all the characters all added up to a unique experience.

Which FF had your Favorite Ending?
Final Fantasy X. I loved the ending to FFX, it also made me shed a tear when Tidus and Auron died off, and I felt really sorry for poor Yuna but on the good site, Spira was in peace again.
